Pakistan Fashion Week 25-27 May 2012

The Pakistan Fashion Week  is back with a spectacular show featuring over 30 leading and emerging Asian designers who continue to break new ground in South Asian fashion.

The event kicks off on Friday 25th May 2012 at the Kensington and Chelsea Town Hall, closing on the night of Sunday 27th May 2012. Founder and Creative Director Adnan Ansari and team promise to bring an outstanding collection of new and unseen creations.

Over the years, Pakistani fashion designers have become known for their originality and high art. Their work ranges from the immaculately tailored to the experimental, embellished with cutting edge styles that are available at designer boutiques as well as haute couture fashion houses.

The rise of Pakistani designers onto the international scene has been one of hard work,  a quiet dedication coupled with a steady rise that has brought Pakistani designers to the world stage. In this maelstrom of creativity a number of names have established a mainstay for their expression despite the odds. Their dedication or ‘tapasya’ to use a better word, is what has made their work stand out and year by year they excel while all eyes focus onto what they may produce next.

It is a credit to Adnan Ansari and team who through relentless energy and dedication have brought the Pakistan Fashion Week this year to the UK audiences. Other key team members include Chris East, Sahiba Kaur and  Huma Tahir, who promise an exhilarating three day event incorporating catwalk shows and a Boutique Lounge throughout the fashion week.

Some of the designers featured in this year’s show include:

Umar Sayeed

Maheen Khan

Ammar Belal

and  many more.

Furthermore, the international cosmetics brand Ten Image Professional Cosmetics are the Official Make-Up sponsors for Pakistan Fashion Week.
