Asian Wedding Planners needed for BBC2 Wedding Planners Documentary

Muslim Wedding Video London

BBC2 needs your Asian wedding!

Your wedding could be documented on a BBC Documentary Series on Asian Wedding Planners in production from now until mid-July. The series will be transmitted in a prime time slot on BBC2 later this year or early 2013. It has been commissioned by BBC Religion and Ethics.

The Series aims to document an intelligent understanding and insight into the practices, customs and traditions within each Culture and Religion and in turn allow an insight into contemporary multi-cultural British life.  The series will document the planning of two to three weddings and the actual event itself.

They intend to follow, in detail, the planning of weddings and the events themselves. That could involve the initial meeting to discuss the wedding; to discussions around certain points of details (for instance, considerations around the dress or catering); to the actual ceremony or ceremonies itself/themselves.

They hope by following each wedding and its planning over a period of time to draw out the culturally and religious significant points which define the wedding as well as documenting the personal journeys of the planners, couples and families to the wedding day itself.

They are also very aware that this is an important time for you, they have extensive experience of filming in sensitive situations. The team is a small documentary crew, consisting of two to three people and their approach is to film in a fly-on-the-wall way – namely observing proceedings rather than looking to control or ‘shape’ them.
